Catherine Anne Cardie

Catherine Anne Cardie, of Warminster, passed away on June 23, 2023 surrounded by the love of her family, at age 88. She was born on July 9, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and the late Anne Campbell. Catherine Anne (Kay) is the beloved wife of Robert J. Cardie (Bob); mother of Claire Cardie and her husband David Skalak, Robert G. Cardie and his wife Carol, David Cardie and his wife Arlene, Paul Cardie and his wife Mary Lou, Joanne Stanton and her husband Marty, Meg Maley and her husband PJ, Peter Cardie, and Suzanne Durso and her husband Richard; grandmother of 24; great-grandmother of 8; sister of Claire Campbell, the late Sister Anne José, SSJ; she is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Catherine was raised in Philadelphia, a graduate of St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, Class of 1952. She met Bob at a dance hall and was married a few years later following Bob's service in the U.S. Army. Catherine Anne and Bob started a family in Northeast Philadelphia and in 1964 moved to Warminster to raise their growing family. Catherine Anne was devoted to bringing up her 8 children and enjoyed many friends and happy memories on Mueller Road. Once her children left home, she started working at Archbishop Wood High School where she was an administrative assistant in the Guidance Office and later a technology assistant. She loved going to work every day, interacting with the students, staff, and faculty, and forming lasting friendships. Her time at Archbishop Wood was a source of great joy for her. But her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to Catherine's Life Celebration on Friday June 30. Viewing is from 9:30-10:50 a.m. and Funeral Mass begins at 10:50 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Church, located at 605 West Street Road Warminster, PA 18974. Interment will be private.
