ROCKFORD – Catherine Elaine Ciaccio, age 77, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Born in Ramsey, IL on January 30, 1948 to James L. & Vida M. Baldock (Naab), she married the love of her life, Anthony L. Ciaccio, on January 23, 1971 in Rockford. Cathy worked for many years at and retired from Eagle Foods, and truly cherished her lifelong co-worker friends. A sweet and kind soul, an accomplished quilter and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, she will remain forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Anthony L. Ciaccio; son, Brian J. Ciaccio of Pecatonica, IL; daughter Michele L. Ciaccio and son-in-law Raymond LaMagna of Beverly Hills, CA; grandchildren and the loves of her life, Nathan Ciaccio and Katherine and Aaron LaMagna; numerous brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Nana, Toni, Alice, and Cathy. She is predeceased by her father, James Baldock; and mother Vida M. Hall.
Celebration of Life Memorial to be announced for late March 2025. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
Special thanks to Northern IL Hospice and wonderful helping hands from special family friends Shirley Withrow and Lesly Bunting, as well as several siblings that kept in touch during Cathy's final days.
