ROCKFORD – Stanford Wayne Dean Sr., age 71, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday, February 23, 2025. Born in Russell County, Virginia on June 19, 1954 to Edgar Randolph & Beulah Frances Dean. Wayne worked for many years driving truck for Conway Central Express. He loved the great outdoors; boating, fishing, camping and most of all long rides on his Harley. Beloved father, grandpa, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.
He is survived by children, Stanford Wayne Dean Jr., Melissa (Houston Doyle) Dean and Dana (Dontae) Hart; grandchildren, Brooke (Al) Johnson, Brianna (Matt) Payne, Brodie Dean, Joshua Dean, Fayron Varcato, Jordan (Alyssa) Dean, Tredell Dean, Tayzsha Dean, Aviahnna Dean, Azlin Hart, Ayahnna Hart and Aleaya Hart; great grandchildren, Ayden Johnson, Abel Johnson, Mylah Keen, Harmony Payne, Bentley Dean, Arayas King, Nathaniel Sockwell, Ezra Morris, Mattie Moore, Jackson Beardon, Atreus Puckett, A'lani Hart, Makenah Hart, Melana White, Muhraya Hart, Majour Hart-Taylor, Antjuan Taylor Liam Toye, Aniyah King and Lucianna Doyle; siblings, Ed (Mary) Dean and Frances Dean; brother-in-law, Fred Patrick; special nephew, Mark; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his siblings, Kenneth Dean, Rita (Dave) Jessee, Betty Patrick and Shirley (Winston) Chason; granddaughter, Ashley Dean; and his parents.
Celebration of Life Memorial to be announced. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
