born in Sleepy Eye, MN, in 1947, and grew up in St. Petersburg, FL, graduating from Northeast
High School and attending the University of Florida.
John W. Ernsberger and Cathy Domeier married in 1969, and after living in Maryland and
Indiana, they landed in Clayville, Rhode Island, where they raised their two children, David and
Jennifer. Cathy loved giving of herself, working at the North Scituate Baptist Church and the
Audubon Society of Rhode Island, as well as serving on the Town Council. She loved cats,
singing, playing guitar, and cooking.
She is the daughter of Luverne H. and Eileen W. Domeier (both deceased), and sister of
Patricia Domeier (deceased), Mary Belardi, and John Domeier. She is survived by her children,
David H. Ernsberger and Jennifer E. Fieler, as well as four grandchildren: Jason M. and Justin
H. Fieler and Johanna R. and David C. Ernsberger.
A private celebration of life will be held in Miami. If so moved, a donation may be made in
memory of Cathy Ernsberger to the Audubon Society of Rhode Island using this https://asri.org/donate/tribute/
