Catherine Irene Fleming

Catherine I. Fleming (Tegan), passed away peacefully at her home in Mansfield on October 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 21, 1938, in Boston, MA, Catherine's journey through life was marked by her boundless love for her family, her strength of character, and her joyful spirit.
Raised in N. Quincy, Catherine attended N. Quincy High School and later graduated from Sharon High School. Her early life in Massachusetts laid the groundwork for a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. Catherine spent over 60 cherished years in Sharon before moving to Mansfield, where she enjoyed her final five years.
Catherine's life was rich with the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Fleming and a devoted mother to her five children: Paul Michael and his wife Paulina of Easton, John J. and his wife Lisa of Norton, Deborah Estano of Norton, Robert E. and his wife Melissa of Norton, and Claire MacKenzie and her husband Glenn of Mansfield. Her role as a mother was one she cherished deeply and performed with unwavering commitment and grace.
Her siblings, the late Henry Tegan, Claire Cippilo, Robert Tegan, John Tegan, Marilyn Herron, Margaret "Bunnie" LeBron, and William Tegan, Jini Thibault and Michele VanLeeuwen held a special place in her heart. The joy she found in family life extended to her beloved 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 more expected this year, each of whom benefited from her love, laughter, and kindness.
Throughout her life, Catherine was a pillar of strength and love. Her dedication as a wife and mother was the cornerstone of her existence. She created a home filled with laughter, where friends and family were always welcome, especially for holidays and her epic pool parties. Her passion for entertaining was evident in the countless gatherings she hosted, leaving a legacy of cherished memories for all who knew her.
Catherine's interests were a reflection of her passion for life. She found pleasure in the simple things, like taking daily walks, cooking, cleaning, going to church, playing Keno, listening to music in her pool house and watching the Bruins.
Catherine's life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of family, and the joy of living each day to the fullest. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Yet, her legacy endures through the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
As we bid farewell to Catherine I. Fleming, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a woman dearly loved. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
Cathy spent the last three years living at Willow Crossing in Mansfield. Her family would like to acknowledge the dedicated and caring staff who cared for Cathy who gave her love and kindness everyday.
Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday morning, October 21st, at 11:30. Visiting hours prior to the service Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Burial will follow the service at Rock Ridge cemetery in Sharon.
