Catherine Johnson Obituary
Born in Greenwood on June 14, 1962, she was a daughter of the late Willie Holmes, Sr. and Geneva Watson. She was a 1981 graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College. Catherine was formerly employed with Magnolia Manor Nursing Home, from which she retired. She was known for her caring nature and dedication to her family and work.
Surviving is her husband of 41 years, Stanley Dale Johnson; a daughter, Amanda Renee Watson of Greenwood; a son, Marcus Antonio Watson of Greenwood; three sisters, Sandra Butler Thompson of Greenwood, Michelle Butler of Clinton, and Bettye Fields of Gastonia, North Carolina; two brothers, Samuel Butler of Greenwood and Rosevelt Lomax (Andrea) of Baltimore, Maryland; and a granddaughter, Ariana Alaijah Kemari Johnson. She is also survived by her great-grandson, Zy'Keem Johnson.
She was predeceased by two brothers, William Robert Butler and Willie Holmes, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. William Butler, Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
