Catherine Mack Obituary
Cathy was born in Cleveland on April 26, 1942, the daughter of Charlotte and Alfred Lindsay.
She graduated from Kent State University with a BFA in 1965. The same year she married Theodore Mack, who eventually became the head librarian at Paul Smiths College. In 1979, she graduated from Paul Smiths College with a degree in HRMT, and became a Dietetic Technician at Adirondack Health in Saranac Lake.
Cathy enjoyed photography, and enjoyed playing with cats. She was an avid reader. She also liked making music on the piano and the guitar. She spent time in the outdoors with friends, walking and canoeing. In her later years, she and husband Ted Mack enjoyed playing Scrabble daily.
Cathy is survived by her older sister Ann Wightman of Seattle, WA.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A memorial for Cathy and husband Ted Mack will be planned for the spring. Friends wishing to remember Cathy can make memorial contributions to the Nature Conservancy, 8 Nature Way, Keene Valley, NY 12943.
