Catherine Jean "Kathy" Silk

Catherine Jean Silk ("Kathy"), 72, of Pataskala, Ohio passed away on January 16, 2024.
Kathy was born on June 24, 1951 to Casper "Gene" and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Pettit in Hamilton, Ohio. After Kathy graduated from Bishop Hartley High School in 1969, she went on to study education at Miami University.
After graduating with a degree in education, she spent decades working for central Ohio school districts in many positions, spending 20 years with Newark City Schools. She ended her career working at the Villas at Saint Therese community in Columbus, Ohio.
In 1977, Kathy met Pat through family. Kathy and Pat went on to have two daughters, Christa and Becky.
In 2020, Kathy retired and spent her time reading, traveling with her sister Patty, visiting her daughters' families and spending time with her husband.
Kathy was predeceased by her father Gene, mother Betty and brother Steve. She is survived by her husband Pat, sister Patty, two daughters and their spouses Christa (LJ) and Becky (Pat), and her five grandchildren AJ, Aaron, Weston, Madeline and Kennedy.
A gathering of close friends and family will be held at Pfeifer-Woodyard funeral home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on January 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
