Catherine Steinmetz Obituary

Catherine M. Steinmetz, 75, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025 at home.

Born on May 16, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late William R. and Lillian A. (Pronsati) Steinmetz.

She was an Insurance Agent for Murray Insurance Agency, Phoenixville and also Bookkeeping at the Columbia Hotel.

Catherine was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and served as a Eucharist Minister.

She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and family dinners.

She is survived by 2 sons:

William McCartney and Leslie Fazio;

Michael McCartney husband of Elizabeth McCartney.

3 Grandchildren, Michael, Silas, and Linden.

Brother, William husband of Donna Steinmetz.

Aunt, Sister Rosalie Pronsati RSM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:00 am with Rev. Daniel Arechabala officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in chapel on Friday from 8:45 to 9:45 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Contributions can be mailed to: Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation 4401 Penn Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15224, made online at www.givetochildrens.org/donate or by phone at 412-692-3900. In the memo of your check or in the designation, please indicate: Scleroderma research.
