Catherine (Cathy) A. Sylvestre, 60, of Arundel, passed away on December 5, 2024. She was born on February 19, 1964, to Constance (Dallaire) Poirier and Lawrence Plante. Catherine attended Biddeford Schools and spent many years working beside her family at Dallaire's Motel & Cottages.
Cathy was known for her unique personality. She truly was one of a kind. In her free time she liked to paint and work on puzzles. Cathy loved spending time in Florida, especially visiting the beach. She enjoyed going for walks and sitting on her porch watching the birds. Above all, she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Catherine was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Plante; stepfather, Norman Poirier; brother, David Plante; and sisters-in-law Victoria Plante and Paula Plante.
Catherine is survived by her mother, Constance Poirier; daughters, Sarah Sylvestre and Jennifer Sylvestre; son, Jimmy Sylvestre, and his significant other, Mary Johnson; grandchildren, Hailie Langille, Brooke Hilton, Noah Paige, Landon Sylvestre, and Lana Sylvestre; great-granddaughter, Iyvey Day; her significant other, Glen Kimball; her sisters, Kim Turnage and Christine Plante; brother, Brian Plante; step-sisters, Lori Harvey and Karen Baer; step-brothers, Mark Poirier, Marcel Poirier, and Guy Poirier; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, Maine 04005. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 pm.
