Cathleen M. Long

Cathleen M. Long, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 1st, 2023, at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her loving family by her side. Cathleen was born on April 12, 1941, in Jamaica, NY and was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary W. (Scully) Long.
Cathleen worked as a real estate agent for many years, for Sea Realty in Westhampton Beach, NY, until she retired.
She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. In life, Cathleen greatly enjoyed her friends, decorating, and advocating for those in need. She loved the beach, traveling with her late dogs Sheba and Moet, and most of all her family whom she loved fiercely.
Cathleen is survived by her children, James Huelle (Lori) and Judith Huelle-Swoboda; her grandchildren, Spencer Swoboda and Samantha Huelle; her siblings, Cynthia Hulse (Tom), Thomas Long; sister-in- law Robin Long, and Luz Alicea (Long); nieces and nephews, Thomas Hulse, IV (Jennifer), Susan Landaluce (Daniel), Julia Long, Natalie Long, Robert Long, III, ; great nieces and nephews, Abigail and Allison Hulse, and Daniel and Jude Mae Landaluce.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers: Robert Long, Jr. and Christopher Long.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM, at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.
A Celebration of Life service will conclude Cathleen's services at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
