Rock Hill, SC – Ms. Cathy Elaine Millwood Cassells, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, NC.
The family will receive friends at 1 pm Friday, June 13, 2025, at Whitesell Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm Friday at the funeral home and burial will be Forest Hills Cemetery, Rock Hill, SC.
A native of Rock Hill, Ms. Cassells was a daughter of the late Early Millwood and Ruth Hall Millwood. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of College Park Baptist Church. She loved attending church and being a member of the choir. She was a collector of pig figurines. She enjoyed playing the piano.
Surviving are two sons, Robert O. Pittman, Jr and his wife, Mary Ashley and John E. Pittman; a daughter, Michelle Pittman Blue; a granddaughter that she raised, Kalah Mitchell; 8 other grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Whitesell Funeral Home is serving the family.
