Cathy Jerome Obituary
Cathy Anne Jerome, age 67, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, October 5th, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born to Lois Rogers Hom and Michael Korleski on May 11th, 1957. Cathy Married Michael L Jerome on August 12th, 1995.
Dedicated Wife, Mother, Nana, a friend of many, and long-time member of Maple Street Church of Christ in Waupaca - Cathy was a beautiful and generous soul with an infectious laugh, quick wit, and sometimes mischievous twinkle in her eye when she smiled. A self-proclaimed homebody who loved God, her family, a good book, or a game of cards. Though she preferred to stay home, she was able to be convinced to take a road trip or two with family or friends and enjoyed camping trips a few times each year.
Cathy is survived and greatly missed by her loving husband Michael L. Jerome of 29 years. She remains forever in the hearts of her children: Danielle C. Bryand and Shaun G. Wallace, step children: Shane Jerome and Rebecca (Patrick) Peterson; infinitely cherished by her granddaughters: Samantha (Brandon) Johnson, Isabella Kaplinski, Nakisha, Lily, Hillarie, and Annabelle; great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Mariah, Kenneth, & Lucian. She is fondly remembered by her stepmother: Marlene Korleski; brothers: Jerry, Donny, Eric, and Grant; sisters: Lisa, Carolyn, and Patt; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kathy, John, Theresa, Patty, Marty & Jody; as well as many wonderful nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank the Waushara County Emergency Services and MedFlight Team for their prompt response and care. They'd also like to thank the ER, Cardiac ICU & Hospice teams at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Appleton for their compassionate care of Cathy and her family during her short stay. Many Thanks to all of the family and friends for their visits, support, and prayers.
A “Celebration of Life & Memorial Service” will be held on Friday, October 11th from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Waushara Senior Center, W8220 Cottonville Rd., Wautoma, WI 54982
