Cathy Biggerstaff Jordan, 75, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025 with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Gaston County on July 6, 1949 to the late John and Bessie Biggerstaff. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, April Jordan.
Cathy enjoyed crafting quilts, tending her garden, and making homecooked meals for her family. She was very loving and cared deeply for her children and grandchildren. Cathy truly loved everyone. She leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Mike Jordan (formerly of the Gaston Life Saving Crew); children, Aron Jordan, Todd Walker, Lisa Picklesimer, and Tina Leathco; siblings, James Biggerstaff, Randy Biggerstaff, Nancy Robinson, and Lynn Putnam; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for visitation Monday, April 14, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel, with Reverend Leo Kuykendall and Pastor Justin Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, North Carolina.
