Cathy Miles Obituary

Cathy was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she was baptized at a very young age. She graduated from Westside High School and served 4 years in the United States Army. She retired in 2018 from Culp Woven Velvets after 30 years of service.
She is survived by her son, Ferlando Miles of the home; two daughters, Courtney Miles (Demetrius) of Anderson, SC, and Camilla Miles Gambrell (Franky) of Anderson, SC; nine grandchildren, Ariah, Qyarius "Q', Reniya, Satija "Pootie", La'Ziya, Malachi, Kayden, Madison, Brendan; three sisters, Sheila Hogan (Henry), Audrey Washington (Maurice), and Rhonda Campbell (Russell); four brothers, Chad Burriss (Walletta), Troy Burriss (Angie), Tracy Burriss (Anitra), and Scotty Burriss (Patricia); her best friend, Mary Edwards Hunter; and a host of relatives and friends.
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Eraskine Miles; her parents William and Etrulia Burriss; and two brothers, William "Cal" Burriss and Tarance Mitchell Burriss.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 23, 2024 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The interment will follow with military honors in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home, 512 Smith Street Anderson, SC and at the home of her sister, Sheila Hogan, 809 Rainbow Road Anderson, SC.
