Cathy Jo Minish, 52, of Marion, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 in Fairview, North Carolina.
She was born in Burke County on July 31, 1972 to Dianne Elizabeth Benge Minish and the late John Franklin Minish. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Bertha Lewis, and a number of aunts and uncles.
Cathy had an incredible sense of humor and will be remembered for her ability to bring laughter to all situations. She loved to shop, and Cathy was a gifted crafter. It brought her great joy to make all kinds of crafts particularly during Christmastime. Traveling was something she enjoyed when she was able. She loved her family more than anything, and she placed great importance on quality time with them.
In addition to her mother, Dianne Minish, she is survived by her daughter, Makayla Russell; siblings, John Minish (Amanda), Teresa Minish (Tammy), Wesley Robinette, and Johnnie Robinette; nieces and nephews, Sierra Austin, Logan Minish, Daniel Minish, Addisyn Harrod, Nate Robinette, and Leigh Royal; and her best friend, Alicia Sharp.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Glenwood Independent Baptist Church with Pastor T-Jay Addison officiating.
