Cathy A. Schreck

Cathy A. Schreck, 75, of McClure, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, May 12, 2025. Born on May 3, 1950, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Knepp and Charlotte (Bickel). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Ann Everly, and her brother, Joseph Knepp. Cathy is survived by her devoted partner of 45 years, Darlis Huffman, and her beloved children: Howard Everly of Kentucky; Penny Sue Luck and her companion, Scott Snelick, of Milroy; John Everly of Lewistown; Jeremy Schreck and his wife, Angela, of Lewistown; Buffy Butcher and her husband, Jason, of McVeytown; and Christina Schreck of New Cumberland. She is also survived by her siblings: Debra DeLong of Lewisburg, Timothy Knepp and his wife, Kerry, of McClure, Danny Knepp of McClure, and Tamara Swope of Northumberland. Her legacy lives on through her 20 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Cathy dedicated her career to caring for others as a licensed practical nurse, most recently serving at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lewistown In keeping with Cathy's wishes, no formal services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to King-Barr Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
