Cecelia Agabiti

Cecelia Agabiti, 74, of Mercerville, NJ, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025. Born in Trenton, NJ on May 18, 1951 to parents John and Mary Zalescik, Cecelia was a longtime area resident. She briefly resided in Colorado before moving back to Mercerville, NJ. She received her doctorate in Education from Temple University and was a retired educator of over 40 years. She taught higher education at Temple University and also was formerly employed by the NJ State Board of Education. Cecelia took pride in educating others as a tutor as well.
Cecelia was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Daughter of the late John and Mary Zalescik; sister of the late Theresa James.

Cecelia is survived by her son Chet Agabiti III and wife Annette; three beloved grandsons, John, Brandon, and Ryan Agabiti; as well as other family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Catholic prayer services will be held on Thursday morning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ.
