Cecil Larry La Mar

Cecil Larry LaMar was born on Tuesday June 26th, at 5:58pm, to Thelma and Burnett LaMar, at Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield, California in 1951. Cecil was a graduate of Foothill High School class of 1969. His Eighteenth Birthday was his enlistment day into the United States Marine Corp, with training at Camp Pendleton, California. He served his military service in Vietnam, during the Vietnam War, and received the Vietnam Service Medal, National Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Under Honorable Conditions, Cecil's effective date end of service in the United States Marine Corp, was December 11, 1971.
1972 Cecil met and married his first wife Connie, and together they had their daughter Sherry.
Cecil's married his 2nd wife Susan in 1977. Susan gave birth to Cecil's 2nd daughter Shirley in 1978.
After a few years, Cecil worked at U.S. Vets Inglewood in California. Always loved his VA garden job, including various jobs over the years in Construction, and Home Maintenance.
Cecil survived his ex wife Connie, wife Susan, brothers Bill, Sam,Charlie and daughter Sherry by many years. Surviving family are his daughter Sherry's children Joe, Andy, and Kassie, daughter Shirley and her children Michael, and Abigale.
From Shirley: "God brought another brother home in remembrance of my father Cecil. I want to thank God for giving myself a family that loves and supports one another. My father was a busy man."
Cecil Larry LaMar, Passed Away on April 29, 2023 in Bakersfield, California, and will be buried at Bakersfield National Cemetery in Arvin, California.
