Mr. Cecil Leroy "Fuzzy" Smith, age 81, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on July 26, 2024. Mr. Smith was born on April 4, 1943, in Bullitt County, KY to the late James Thomas and Virginia Nile (Watson) Smith. He was a pipefitter with Local #502 and a Member of St. Rita Catholic Church. He was a mason with Salt River Masonic Lodge #180 F. & A.M. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, son, Mark Smith; daughter, Teresa Wilkins; grandson, Anthony Fout; and siblings, Barbara Smith, Sandra Kelty, Carol Stallings, and Clifford Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 30 years, Deborah (Reynolds) Smith; children, Dana Weaver (Cornel), Jeffrey "Bud" Smith (Susan), Penny Fout, and Christy Smith; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Valera "Tootie" Krebs, Linda Moore, Brenda Henry, Freda Reeves, and Debbie Hinton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 am on Friday, August 2, 2024, at St. Rita Catholic Church (8709 Preston Highway Louisville, KY 40219) with interment in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1-8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Family video on www.subfuneralhome.com
