Wakefield – Cecile R. (Bouffard) Audette, 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Lionel J. Audette for sixty years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (St. Onge) Bouffard.
Cecile was a longtime parishioner of St. Cecila Church, Pawtucket, and relocated to Wakefield eleven years ago. She worked for many years as a secretary at the former Greenhalgh Mills of Pawtucket. She enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family in Canada, Cape Cod and New Hampshire. In her earlier days, Cecile loved watching The Lawrence Welk Show and The Carol Burnett Show.
She is survived by three children, Gerald W. Audette and his wife, Sherry, of Uxbridge, MA, Madeline S. Darter of West Palm Beach, FL and Celeste L. Ferguson and her husband, Glenn, of Wakefield; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Holly Seplocha of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert J. Audette, great-grandmother of the late Joshua Olson and sister of the late Raymond Bouffard and Pauline Lamoureux.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, beginning with visitation at 9:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with her late husband will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to American Parkinson Disease Association, PO Box 61420, Staten Island, NY 10306 would be appreciated. Online condolences welcomed at www.trippfuneralhome.com
