Cecilia M. Barood, of Griggstown, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 74 years old. Born in Manchester, United Kingdom, she came to the United States in 1988. She resided in North Brunswick and Highland Park before moving to the Griggstown section of Franklin Twp. 26 years ago.
Cecilia was a secretary for the United Nations in NYC for many years. She enjoyed playing tennis, traveling, and was an avid reader.
Surviving are her loving husband of 35 years, Wajde Barood; her sons Daniel and Martin Barood and daughter Catherine Barood, all of Griggstown; her sister Phyllis Stallone of Old Bridge; her nephews Robert Stallone and Fadi (Rosalie) Baroud, and her nieces Kelly and Kloe Barood.
A Funeral Mass and burial will be private. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 North Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the online condolence “guestbook” at www.crabiel.com
