Cecilia L DeLuca

Cecilia L. DeLuca (née Amato), of Summit, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on April 13, 1938, in Galluccio, Caserta, Italy, Cecilia was the beloved daughter of Anna Maria (née Lato) and Epifanio Amato. She spent her early years in her cherished hometown of Galluccio before moving to the United States in 1961.
Cecilia made her home in Summit, NJ, later residing in New Providence before returning to Summit. She worked as a talented seamstress at Eleganza in Millburn and later at Yves Saint Laurent in the Short Hills Mall, where her skill and precision were greatly admired until her retirement.
Cecilia found joy in cooking traditional meals and traveling, especially back to Italy, where she held fond and vivid memories of her roots. Her greatest devotion, however, was to her family. She was a loving and supportive mother and a proud and adoring grandmother.
Cecilia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Antonio DeLuca, and her siblings Maria, Mario, and Italo Amato. She is survived by her devoted sons, Francisco "Frank" DeLuca and his wife Anna, and Giancarlo "John" DeLuca and his wife Loredona; her cherished sister, Frida Amato; and her beloved grandchildren, Anthony, Sabrina, Jessica, Anna, and Antonio DeLuca.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, October 20th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave, Summit, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 21st, at 9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave, Summit, NJ. Interment will take place in Cecilia's beloved hometown of Galluccio, Italy.
