Cecilia Woodward Obituary

Cecilia married the love of her life, Tommy Woodward for 43 blessed years. She was survived by her two sisters and two brothers, Maria DeHoyos, Virginia Harmon, Emilio Contreras II, and Danny Contreras; along with her thirteen Nieces and Nephews and twenty Great Nieces and Nephews.
She was a long-standing member of Valley Christian Assembly, Cecilia volunteered wherever she was needed and was known and loved by so many people in the Coachella Valley. She retired from College of the Desert, a lifetime member of CSEA, the Linus Project and a Founder Member of Coachella Valley Quilt Guild.
Viewing will be Monday, September 26, 2022 at Wiefels Palm Springs Chapel located at 690 South Vella Road, Palm Springs, CA 2264 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Services will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Valley Christian Assembly located at 73979 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92260.
Following Services from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Cecilia Contreras will be laid to rest at Coachella Valley Cemetery located at 82925 52nd Ave, Coachella, CA (Avenue 52nd and Jackson).

I used to work with Ceil at College of the Desert. I had been thinking of her but didn´t make the time to call. I hope she knew that I loved her and will remember her always. She was quick witted and dedicated and always willing to help others and to teach others.

So very sad reading about Ceil in today´s newspaper. We worked together at COD for many years (different departments). I have to say she was always one of my favorites. We had so much fun when I would visit her office. Rest in eternal peace, dear Ceil. You are missed by many, and will never be forgotten. Heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
