Chad Joseph “Jophus” Badeaux, 51, of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. Chad has left his earthly home and now dwells in the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior and can know his son Andrew. Throughout his life, Chad found his safest place and deepest comfort in his walk with Jesus. He will be remembered for his big laugh, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew "Andy" Badeaux who was born into heaven; his beloved sisters, Dana Badeaux and Kristie Badeaux; his grandpa, Joel J. Bilbo and his grandma, Ethel Bilbo (Stewart); his pawpaw, Antoine "A.J." Badeaux and his mawmaw, Marie Badeaux (Lebeau).
Chad is survived by his two sons, Jack Badeaux and Charles "Charlie" Badeaux – the greatest joys of his life, and his former wife, Sarah Badeaux (Corban) with whom he shared 22 years of marriage and two wonderful children.
He is also survived by his parents, Alvin "Rusty" Badeaux and Patricia "Trish" Badeaux (Bilbo); his sister, Kimberly Merrill (Badeaux) and her husband Timothy Merrill; and his brother, Russ Badeaux and his wife Micah Badeaux (Grubbs).
He also leaves behind nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, Joshua Lange (Jessica), Trevin Merrill (Ryan), Taylor McClelland (Dillon), Anthony Ramos (Destinee), Madalyn (Maddy) Badeaux, and Jacob Badeaux.
His memory will continue to live on through his great-nieces and nephews, Ryley, Barrett, TJ, Wyatt, Colt, Greyson, Waylon, Bristol, and Levi.
Chad cherished his work family at Drace Construction and so many others who held a special place in his heart. He found joy on the bowling lanes, around a Bourre table, anywhere near the water, with a fishing pole in hand or out on a boat. Even though he was often not the tallest man in the room, his big personality filled every space, and his kind heart meant he’d give you the shirt of his back. He was the life of the party, and everyone who knew Chad, loved Chad- His spirit will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
