Chad Elliott Schmidt, 53, of Milliken, CO, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.
Chad was born August 6, 1971, to Steve and Karen Schmidt of Windsor, CO.
He attended Windsor schools and graduated from Windsor High School in 1990,
Chad began working for the family business, Steve Schmidt Trucking, in 1991 and continued throughout his career,
He married Michelle Eck of Windsor, CO, in 2012 and they made their home together in Milliken, CO.
Chad is a loyal friend and his favorite past times are fishing, riding his Harley and relaxing at the lake with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle, stepdaughter Paige (Robert) Flanigan, step grandchildren Zoey, Noah, and Arie Flanigan of Windsor, CO, father Steve Schmidt of Windsor, CO, sisters Lana St. John of Highlands Ranch, Susan (Dave) Ray of Loveland, CO, aunt Nancy Schmidt of Longmont, CO, nephews Michael (Kylie) Schmidt of Milliken, CO and Tommy St. John of Highlands Ranch, CO, niece Alyssa St. John of Highlands Ranch, CO, and many friends.
Chad is preceeded in death by his mother Karen Schmidt of Windsor, CO, and grandparents, Harold and Ruth Schmidt of Windsor, CO, and Dave and Dolly Krause of Windsor CO,
A celebration of life will be Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 1 pm at the Windsor Legion, 624 Ash St, Windsor, CO.
