Charlene L. Steele, 89, of Camden, NY; went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Best Ross Nursing Facility in Rome, NY. She was born on February 25, 1935 to the late Leonard and Dorothy Holliday Jeffris.
Charlene attended schools in New York and Florida. She was employed by SunBank in Florida. Her hobbies including doing puzzles and puzzle books, playing card games with her friends at the apartments and playing dominos. She enjoyed volunteering at Cluster 13 in Camden. She always looked forward to going to church, both at the Alliance Church in Rome and the Hillsboro Baptist Church in Camden.
She was pre-deceased by several siblings.
Charlene is survived by four daughters, Phyllis (John) Witzigman, Debbie Hubbard, Edna (Bobby) Anderson and Edie Fera; a son, Phillip (Sharon) Hubbard; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in care of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charlene's memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Oneida, Herkimer, and Eastern Madison Counties, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.
