Charlene Ann Torrey

Charlene Ann Torrey ( Elliott), known to family and friends as Sue, passed away at 76 in Sanford, NC. She was born and raised in Greene, NY. She is survived by her husband John Torrey of 33 years, her daughters Amy (Burns) Heffernan, Lisa (Burns) Knight, Nicole Burns, and Carlee Torrey, Stepsons John Torrey and Vincent Torrey and his wife Jessie, her son-in-law James Heffernan, and sister Emma Jean Van Dusen (Elliott), grandchildren, two great granddaughters, nieces, and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Neal and Dora (Horton) Elliott, her brothers and their spouses Ned and Ethel Elliott, Donald and Lois Elliott, Harold Elliott, and Kenny Elliott. Sue will be remembered as someone who loved talking to people, she would know their life history by the time she got done. She loved all the dogs they owned. Sue loved to travel, and enjoyed her trips to Canada and Cape Hatteras. She was a big NY Jets fan. Sue will be missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY, with the Rev. Steve Chastain officiating. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
