Charlene "Char-Lene" Trinidad

The world lost a little sparkle (and a lot of fabric sales) when Charlene Trinidad passed away on August 10, 2025 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 20, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Wokutch (Zelienople, PA) and Virginia Johnson (Dorchester, MA).

A devoted customer of Joann Fabrics, she was single-handedly keeping the craft store in business; company accountants are reportedly bracing for disappointing quarterly earnings.

Sherry was a world traveler who never really left town, but her adventures were legendary nonetheless. She had a deep love for Halloween, and an even deeper love for dragons, zombies, and vampires - preferably all in the same movie if possible.

She was famous for breaking out in song while she sewed blankets and hats for anyone and everyone, opening both her home and her heart to all who needed warmth, comfort, or just a good laugh. Her greatest love, however, was for her husband, Angel, to whom she frequently expressed her affection with the unforgettable words: "Do you want me to slap you, Angel?"

Her kindness, political opinions, and world policies will be missed by friends, family, and fictional creatures everywhere.

Beloved wife of Angel M. Trinidad, who she married on July 5, 1975, mother of Melinda Haddox (Shawn) of Beaver Falls, Bernadine Thornton (Tom) of Carthage, TN, and Angie Charles (Rocky) of Mars, grammy of Tyler, Paris, Ava, Samuel, Presley and Rhett, brothers Sammy Trinidad, George (Pat) Trinidad, Johnny (Shelly) Trinidad, David (Kim) Trinidad, and Carlos (Melissa) Trinidad, sister of Reeni Rodgers of Ravenna, Ohio, the late Karen Retsch of Pittsburgh, the late Sandy Johnson, and the late Ada (Paul) Becker (Trinidad). Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Twp. Memorials may be made to the Hillman Cancer Center. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.

I have known Sherry since 1973. She was dating my stepbrother Angel. I was so happy when she became a member of the Trinidad's. She always spoke her mind too. She had a very kind heart and was loved by many. I will miss her dearly. See you in heaven Sherry! Say hi to Ada for me.
Your step sister in law.
