Charles Allendorph Obituary
COHOES - Charles F. Allendorph, 93, of Cohoes, passed away suddenly at Albany Medical Center, on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born and educated in Cohoes, and was the son of the late Charles and Emelda Veve Allendorph. He worked for Bendix in Green Island for many years. He belonged to St. Joseph's Church, in Cohoes, until closing, then to St. Michael's Church. Charlie was an avid walker and fisherman; liked to play Bingo; and he was known as the bottle man. He baked pies and he liked to garden, play cards, and collect coins. He is survived by his niece, Kimberly Fan of Troy; nephew, Carl (Rebecca) Allendorph of Cohoes; and niece, Karen (Charlie) Aayotte of Troy; great-nieces, Tiffany Anderson and Patricia (Matt) Hume Grovenger; also survived by many cousins, who loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning, from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m., prior to the service. For condolences, visit www.dufresnefuneralhome.com

To the Allendorf Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. It was many years ago, but I remember Charlie being a friend of my uncle and he used to fish with my uncle and dad frequently. He was a good, kind person. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Praying for the family as usual walk to the valley of the shadow. May you always remember all the great times that you had I know I will. He has always been my uncle and a part of my family before I was even born. He is always been uncle Chuck. He would always come up to our house and bring his penny candy and soda and just was always there for us when I was a kid. His favorite thing to do is pick his blackberries and always bring me up some cause I knew how much I love that even as I grow older and worked he will find where I was and bring me some. My most favorite Memory of him was him and my uncle Eddie and I would always go fishing together when I was a kid. Always a great time. Fish good up there with uncle Eddie in the heaven
