Charles J. "Andy" Anderson III, a resident of Ashley, Michigan died of congestive heart failure on November 14, 2023 at the age of 69.
Born on January 12, 1954, the son of Wanda Anderson and Charles J. Anderson II, Andy grew up in Holt where he was a 1973 graduate of Holt High School. He went on to enjoy a long career with General Motors, working as a torque inspector with Fisher Body, and later the Delta plant from which he retired. It was at Crystal Lake that Andy met the love of his life, Avelinda "Linda" Moreno Anderson. They wed in St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Ithaca on July 19, 1980, and have many great memories of family gatherings on Crystal Lake ever since.
Andy was a talented Pro-street Car builder who built many award winning cars and who was sought after for his precision work. He was featured in many car magazines and enjoyed going to car shows and traveling with Linda to shows around the United States. His blue Caprice was his pride and joy. Andy also loved hunting waterfowl with his golden retriever Cruz, who was an excellent hunting companion. They enjoyed many hunting trips together, and Andy's work as a hunting guide and trip organizer was regularly featured in the Michigan Out-of-Doors Magazine.
Andy loved playing drums throughout his life, played in a band in his younger years, and in recent years was blessed with the opportunity to play in his church's band and enjoy fellowship with Church of Jubilee in Owosso. He was strong in his faith, a gentle giant and his quick wit, personality, and amazing sense of humor will be sorely missed by all.
In addition to Avelinda, his beloved wife of over forty-three years, he is survived by his father, Charles J. Anderson II; his sister, Tamara Jo (Al Stoolmaker) Reyher; nephew, Chad Robert (Amy) Reyher; great nephews and niece, Reese, Renee, Ryan, and Owen Reyher. Linda's siblings, Teresa Silvas (the late David) and Steve (Lisa) Moreno; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Anderson; mother and father-in-law, Santos Gonzalez Moreno and Benito Moreno, Jr.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ramon Moreno, Benito "Ben" (DeeAnn) Moreno III, Estella (Larry) Powell, Maria (the late Chris) Dutton.
A Memorial Service will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Parkway, St. Johns, on Monday, November 20, at 2PM with Pastor Gary Beal, Jr. officiating. Friends may gather from 12:30PM until the time of service.

I was sorry to hear about Andy's passing. I always enjoyed our many conversations over many years making automotive history at Fisher Body - Lansing. We always joked that he would always be one day younger than I am.
My most sincere condolences to his families.

We´re so sorry for your loss. I only knew Andy as a small child. I know he was the apple of his family´s eye. So impressed with all he accomplished in his life, and very happy to see he was a Christian, and involved in his church. Tammy and Uncle Charles-we will be praying for you and his family. We love you.
