Charles Antaya

Charles R. Antaya, 67, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Lynn (Marcia) Antaya, passed away unexpectedly at his Rhode Island campground on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Born in Springfield, MA on November 7, 1954, he was the son of the late Roger and Irene (Morneau) Antaya and grew up in Springfield. After graduating from La Salette High School in New Hampshire, he continued playing in multiple bands, eventually getting married to Lynn and settling down in Windsor Locks where they raised their family. He worked for Hamilton Standard since 1982 and was currently working in Facility Services for Raytheon Corporation where he was affectionately known as Radar O'Reilly. Charlie loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending half the year in Rhode Island with his Timber Creek RV Resort family. He loved the beach, lighthouses, grilling, and playing guitar for several bands including High Country, Quintera, and Off the Cuff. Besides his beloved wife Lynn, he leaves 3 children, Traci-Lynn Santillo and her husband Jason, Gregory Jacobson and his wife Shannon, and Lisa Nolan; 4 grandchildren whom he adored, Sean and Erin Jacobson, Adrianna Dent, and Baileigh-Marie Prentiss; his sister Jackie; his dog Rosie; and many family, friends and bandmates. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 2, from 4-6 PM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield, with a Service taking place at 6 PM. Burial will be held privately.
