Charles "Chuck" Arrigo, 83, formerly of Evansville, Indiana (resident of Milton, Florida), passed away in Pensacola, Florida, on January 7, 2025. He was born in Evansville, Indiana, on August 8, 1941, to Anthony J. Arrigo and Alice M. (Hodgkins) Arrigo.
Chuck attended both Memorial High School and Bosse High School. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps, where he learned to become an expert marksman and an amazing cook (especially an expert in sausage gravy), which was greatly appreciated by his family. He was a wonderful singer, and his family always loved to hear him sing, especially gospel music.
He was a devoted Christian who loved God with all his heart, and, with his wife Loretta, raised their four children to have strong faith. He loved laughing, and his friends could always expect to hear a great joke or be on the receiving end of a kind tease. He loved to talk about his grandchildren and was so proud to be the patriarch of his loving family. Chuck never knew a stranger and had the amazing ability to remember the names of those he met. He excelled in life in sales, working both as an industrial salesman and later in his career, working in automobile sales, where he consistently received top awards and accolades due to his honesty with his customers.
Chuck is survived by his beautiful wife of 56 years, Loretta J. (Inkenbrandt) Arrigo, to whom he was an amazing husband and best friend. He is also survived by his three sons: Dean (Michele) Arrigo, Gary (fiancée Kelly) Arrigo, Bret (fiancée Stacie) Arrigo, and his daughter, Jessica (Jairo) Arrigo Villalobos; one foster daughter, Tammy Forshee; one brother, Donald (Joyce) Arrigo; and four grandchildren: Danielle Arrigo, Alec (Kayla) Arrigo, Brittany (Lucas) McCormick, and Valena Villalobos. His four great-grandchildren are Jaclynne, Braxton, Clarke, and Zoey, as well as many lovely nieces and nephews. He is also greatly missed by his best friend, Mark (Dee) Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, where family and friends are welcome to gather. A celebration of life ceremony will immediately follow at 11 a.m., with military funeral honors. Burial will take place at a future time at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
