Charles Berry Obituary

Charles Warren Berry, Jr., of Grandy, NC passed away peacefully at home December 24, 2021, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. He was 80 years young and lived what he called a "fat and sassy" life.

Always full of sunshine and joy, Charles leaves behind a loving wife of 61 years, Mable; two daughters; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers and countless friends who became family over time.

Charles was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Grandy, North Carolina. The family has no immediate plans for a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, however they ask that you please consider making a memorial donation to Mount Zion Methodist Church; PO Box 648 Grandy, NC 27939.

Charles/Charlie was one of my dearest friends for 40+ years.
He always had a smile and a mischievous twinkle in his eye. I loved to make him laugh. He was our Eveready Bunny and kept on ticking despite all of the health issues that came up. Rest in peace my dear ole friend. I will miss you.
