Charles Bing

Mr. Charles Leroy Bing, of Hornbeak, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Baptist-Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. Charles was born in Moscow, TN on June 2, 1935 to the late Wesley & Frances Bing.
He is survived by his wife, of 49 years, Mary Evelyn Bing, his son, Eddie Bing and wife, Ann, of Southaven, MS, his daughters, Kim Odom and husband, Carl, of Bartlett, TN, and Brenda Clapp and husband, Sammy, of Horn Lake, MS, his brother, Jimmy Bing and sister, Dorothy Newsom, both of Union City, TN. One of his greatest loves was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Daniel (Kristin) Odom, Tanner Odom, Amanda (Martin) Gambill, Matthew Bing and Kristy (Ronnie) Jernigan and his great-grandchildren, Asher & Lake Odom, Lucas Gambill, Cruz, Everly, Anna & Gavin Jernigan. He also was deeply loved by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Tom, Marshall and Wesley Bing and his sister, Edna Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Wynnburg Baptist Church, conducted by Bro. John Poore and Mr. Brent Long. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN. Visitation will begin at the church at 12 p.m. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Bret & Michael Long, Dennis Whitson, Ray Quick, Roger Curry and Ronnie Jernigan. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Ferguson and Marvin Whitson.
The family of Charles Bing ask that memorials be directed to the Wynnburg Baptist Church.
