Charles D. Birkemeyer, fondly known as "Chuck," passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the age of 64. Born on August 13, 1960, in Prescott, Arizona Chuck lived a life characterized by dedication, hard work, and a deep commitment to his family.

A hardworking rancher, Chuck dedicated his career to the family ranch, Dugas Ranch, where his efforts were instrumental in sustaining the family legacy. He ranched for the Lazy D Grazing Association south of Cheyenne for 36 years, this developed it into an effective grazing ranch. His education in Petroleum Engineering laid the groundwork for his industrious nature, allowing him to navigate the demands of ranching with skill and expertise. Known for his quiet demeanor, Chuck approached life with a calmness and loyalty that resonated with everyone who knew him.

Though he dedicated much of his time to the ranch, Chuck cherished moments of leisure spent fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and joy amid his busy schedule. He took great pride in providing for his family, and was especially proud of his role as a husband, father, and grandfather.

Chuck is survived by his beloved mother, Emmaline; his devoted wife, Deb; his son, David Birkemeyer; his daughter, Jessica Koester; and eight cherished grandchildren, all of whom were the lights of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles.

His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, a true testament to a life well-lived, marked by love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to family.
