Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Charles Steven Cain, age 66, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. Mr. Cain was born in Winder, Georgia, a son to the late Charles Junior Cain and the late Beatrice Shannon Cain. Mr. Cain was a Correctional Officer with the Jackson County Correctional Institute and a member of the Winder First Baptist Church. His love of playing softball and following Georgia Football, where among his favorited things to do. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Crane Cain, maternal grandparents, William and Mattie Shannon and his paternal grandparents, Zeb and Lonia Cain.

Survivors include his sister, Gail Banks and her husband Larry of Jefferson; brother, George Petrisko and his wife Jackie of Braselton; step-son, Russell Jordan of Panama City Beach, FL; niece, Kelli Stewart and her husband Chris of Pendergrass; nephew, Kyle Banks and his wife Amber of Jefferson; niece, Tiffany Petrisko Lamb and her husband Marcus of Canton, GA; niece, Brittany Petrisko of Braselton; great niece, Karlie Banks and great nephews, Kaden and Hudson Banks; aunts, Vivian Waddell of Winder, Carol Voyles of Commerce and uncle, Gene Cain of Sevierville, TN; numerous cousins also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Dexter Sims and Mr. Geoge Petrisko officiating. The burial will follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with Kyle Banks, George Petrisko, Chris Stewart Kaden Banks, Tim Jack Robinson, Misty Stinchcomb and Brittany Pretrisko honored as pallbearers.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home.
