Charles Capello Obituary
Charles "Charlie" J. Capello, 87, of Branford, formerly of Hamden passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Cedar Woods in Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Dolores Bettarelli Capello. Charlie was born in New Haven on July 30, 1938, and was the son of the late Anthony and Sarah Grignano Capello. He worked for the town of Hamden in the Parks & Rec department for many years. Charlie enjoyed all different types of foods, cooking and spending time with his family. Father of Cheryl Capasso and her husband Bob, Lauren Krista and her husband Scott. Grandpa of Brittany Veloza, Anthony Capasso, Taylor and Nicholas Krista.
The visiting hours will be on Thursday, January 22nd from 10 to 11:30 AM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. www.northhavenfuneral.com
