Mr. Charles McArthur Capps, Sr., 79, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at his home.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Mr. Capps was born April 29, 1943 in Canton, NC, son of the late John Capps and Katherine Devlin Ducote. He retired as a Regional Manager with Krystal after 47 years of service. Mr. Capps was both a craftsman and an outdoorsman. He enjoyed making knives, archery and hunting.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Capps and a brother, Carl Capps.
He is survived by two daughters; Kimberley Denice Horton and husband Jason, US Army Major (ret) of Phenix City, AL and Kristen Sue Hurst and husband Brandon of Phenix City, AL; a son, Charles M. Capps, Jr. and wife Sandra of Smiths Station, AL; a sister, Shirley James of Canton, NC; a brother Mark Towers and wife Doris of Canton, NC; six grandchildren, Tre and Hunter Capps, Schyler and Myckenzie Horton and Bayleah and Ducote Hurst; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Capps and Sebastian Capps; as well as extended family and friends.

My condolences to your family. I just started working with Mr. Charles. I enjoyed the little time I had with him. Laughing with him, telling him how much of a great looking man he was on the Krystal's box. I wish I had more time with him. I could tell that he was a sweet loving person. Thanks for allowing me to meet somebody like Mr. Charlie. I know he will be truly missed.
