Charles Edgar Carr

Charles Edgar Carr Sr., better known as Chuck to his friends and flight students, passed away Tuesday, July 11th 2023 in Hammond LA at the age of 85. The Carr family were long time residents of Enterprise AL where Mr Carr was a dedicated and passionate helicopter instructor pilot at Fort Rucker AL and heralded by all who met him as one of the best. Once Charles retired from the military, he went on to teach for the civil service, finally retiring for good at the age 74. He is survived by his daughter Kathryn Reneé Wire (Alfred), his son Charles Edgar Carr Jr, and three grandsons Douglas Ryan Rombough (Madison), Charles Reed Rombough (Carmen) and David Rory Carr-Wire (Hanna). Charles was the son of Annabelle Goodnight and Charles Lewis Carr, grand son of Alma Best Goodnight and Johnny Marion Goodnight. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Kathryn Carr who passed February 18th 2023. Their love will continue now in the spirit realm.
