Charles "Chuck" A. Chudomelka, age 80, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was born on August 15, 1945, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Lambert and Helen Chudomelka.

Chuck graduated from Ozark High School and proudly served his country in Vietnam as a Military Police officer and sentry dog trainer. He worked for decades at 3M, where he eventually retired, but never truly slowed down. A lifelong farmer, Chuck raised everything from steers and sheep to goats and prize-winning miniature donkeys.

He had a deep love for dancing, gardening, and restoring old tractors. A natural entrepreneur, Chuck explored many ventures including flea market booths, working as an auctioneer, running a trash hauling business, and even entertaining as a certified clown.

Chuck cherished the simple joys of life-especially the time spent under the shade trees with his closest friends, Bob and Bert Riley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Lambert Chudomelka; his brother, Lambert "Bert" Chudomelka; and his sister, Mary Jane Grajal.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine Chudomelka; his daughters, Wanda Chudomelka (partner Bobby) and Amanda Dishman (husband Dane); and Lorraine's children, whom he loved as his own: Susan Tyler (partner Mark), Dawn Hodge, and Cookie Blevins.

He is also survived by his siblings: Jo Ann Southern (husband John), Kathleen Chudomelka, and John Chudomelka (partner Deanna).

Chuck's legacy lives on in his 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever remember his humor, kindness, and generous spirit.

A Visitation will be held from 8:30 am to 9:30 am Thursday, August 28, 2025, with Funeral Services beginning at 9:30 am at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W. Woodland St Springfield, MO 65807.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd. Springfield, MO 65804.
