Charles Leo Clendenin, 85, of White Sulphur Springs passed away November 21, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born February 7, 1939 in Creighton, WV and was the son of the late Floyd and Winona Herkert Clendenin.
Charles was with the maintenance department at the Greenbrier Hotel having retired after 43 years of service.
Other than his parents he preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Darles Sparks Clendenin; grandson Joshua Clendenin; brother and sister in law Bobby and Linda Clendenin; brothers, Gary Clendenin, Allen Clendenin and brother in laws Franky and Donny.
Survivors are his sons, Charles Leo Clendenin, Jr. (Becky) and James Riley Clendenin (Rhonda); grandchildren, Cody Clendenin (Courtney), Jessie Toothman (Brian), Jonas Clendenin (Lauren), Jake Clendenin (Autumn) and Luke Clendenin (Jasmine); great grandchildren, Matthew McMillion, Caitlyn McMillion, Caden Toothman, Emily Clendenin, Stella Clendenin, Tripp Clendenin, Georgia Clendenin, Scarlett Clendenin, Casen Clendenin, Caleb and Corbin Clendenin; Step grandson Joey; Brothers and sisters, Sissy (Hunter), Roger (Joyce), Sue, Jenny and Billy; several nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thank you to Charles' caregivers, Audrey, Jennifer and Julian.
Funeral services for Mr. Clendenin will be Sunday November 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Alvon Living Word Church with Pastors Bobby McClintic and Buck Caldwell officiating, interment will follow at the Little Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 PM until time of services on Sunday November 24, 2024 at the church.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
