Charles Antonio Crescenzi (Charlie) passed on December 22, 2024, in Spartanburg, SC, age 79. Charlie was born on August 12, 1945 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Domenico and Marie Crescenzi.

He graduated from Cedar Cliff High School and Shippensburg College, receiving a Masters of Education. Charlie taught 8th grade history for 30 years at Dover Area Intermediate School in Dover, PA, loved by faculty and students alike. Post-retirement, Charlie worked as an education coordinator for the York Heritage Trust and served as President of the Spartanburg Men’s Garden Club for two years where he was involved for over 17 years.

Charlie was known for his warm personality, sense of humor, and love and support for his family and community. As a member of First Presbyterian Church Spartanburg, he especially enjoyed helping in the kitchen for Wednesday night dinners. Artistically talented, he loved teaching others sketching and painting. He was involved in Toastmasters Club and daily completed the NY Times Crossword Puzzle.

Survived by: Joyce Crescenzi, wife of 55 years and children Charles (Jennifer), Robert (Rachelle), and Eleanor (Michael), and two grandchildren.
