Charles was raised and educated in Stuttgart. He served in the US Air Force and shipped out to Vietnam in December of 1968. Charles moved to White Hall in 1996 and started work as a security guard at the Pine Bluff Arsenal until his retirement. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing card games and reading his Bible. Charles was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church in Sheridan.
Survivors include his daughter, Tanya Michelle White; daughter-in-law, Jordan Jennings (Jeremiah); grandchildren, Anthony White and Amber House (Jacob); great grandchildren, Matthew House and Delinda House; and grand dog, Scooby.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Linda Ann Batson Davis, whom he married November 8, 1968 in Stuttgart and who went to be with the Lord March 1, 2016; and his son, William Edward Davis.
Funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Ralph Robinson & Son. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart. Visitation will be Wednesday, 12:30 PM until funeral time.
