Charles Edward Day

Charles Edward Day, affectionately known as Chuck, was born on July 21, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and a zest for life that touched many.

A graduate of Center High School in 1962, Chuck furthered his education by taking courses at UCM, formerly known as CMSU. During his time there, he met a beautiful young lady named Linda Miller. As time went on, romance blossomed, and their bond deepened. On July 15, 1972, Chuck and Linda exchanged wedding vows, beginning their new life together as husband and wife.

Chuck had a diverse career path, holding various roles throughout his life. He began his professional career as a manufacturing representative for electronic parts, later transitioning to serve as a bus driver for Independence Schools. Most recently, he was employed as a tour bus driver, a position that allowed him to travel extensively and connect with people from all walks of life. His easy-going nature made him a favorite among his peers and passengers alike. In addition to his professional achievements, Chuck served honorably in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to his country.

Chuck was known for his unwavering passion for life, especially his cherished moments spent at Sunrise Beach with Linda and their family. During the summer months, they would enjoy the tranquility of the lake, indulging in boating and fishing, creating memories that will remain alive in the hearts of those who knew them. When colder weather set in, his spirit remained vibrant as he passionately cheered on his home team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Chuck used his knowledge of sports by coaching little league baseball and basketball for Brian and Todd. Later, he became a spectator for his grandchildren’s sporting endeavors.

Chuck's passing was preceded by his parents, Charles and Vivian Day. His loving legacy lives on through his wife, Linda Day; their sons, Brian Day (Lara) and Todd Day (Blair); their grandchildren, Fitz Day, Vivian Day, Jeremiah "Jed" Day, and Beau Day; and his brothers, Jim Day (Janan) and Rick Day (Debbie).
