Charles Lester Donaldson, born on January 9, 1932, in Scotland County, Missouri, departed this world on November 5, 2025, at La Plata Nursing Home. He lived a remarkable life characterized by dedication and service, traversing through many roles that shaped him into the beloved figure he was.

Charlie, as he was affectionately known, dedicated 65 years of his life as a barber working at Charlie's Barber Shop. He had a great passion for producing the best haircut possible for his patrons throughout his years. His prices were extremely low, and he would often not accept payment if he thought that it would be a hardship for someone. His commitment to this career showcased not only his passion for motorsports but also his strong work ethic and resilience. He had completed his education with a high school diploma in his hometown, which laid a foundation for the industrious life he would lead.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Charlie served honorably in the United States Army for two years during the Korean War. His time in service reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment to his country, values that he carried throughout his life.

Known for his knack for fixing things, Charlie was often referred to as the "fix-it man." Whether it involved repairing furniture or tackling various projects in his garage, he was always engaged in creative solutions and hands-on work. This craftsmanship was not just a hobby for him; it encapsulated his approach to life—one filled with diligence and a willingness to contribute to those around him.

Charlie had a deep affection for his family, with whom he cherished spending time. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda, and their daughter, Deborah (Gary) Lee. His legacy continues through his granddaughter, Leanne Davis, and his great-grandchild, Nolan Davis, who fondly remember the warmth and wisdom he shared throughout their lives.

He is preceded in death by his son, David Donaldson and grandson in-law Jason Davis, who will also be remembered alongside him in spirit as they journeyed through life together.

The impact of Charles Lester Donaldson's life resonates within his family and within the community he served for so many decades. His unwavering dedication, craftsmanship, and love for family will not be forgotten.
