Charles “Chuck” Edward Fandel, age 57, of Sioux City, IA, formerly of Rockford, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Chuck was born in Rockford, IL on March 31, 1967, the son of Richard J. and Sondra R. (Berg) Fandel. He attended St. Rita Catholic Church and School from a young age where he excelled at numerous sports. Chuck graduated from Boylan Catholic High School, Class of 1985. He then earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in 2002 and later graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2007. Chuck was proudly dedicated to his career, helping many people as a chiropractor, and later worked for Blue Bunny ice cream distribution. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to 80’s music and was a die-hard fan of the Green Bay Packers. Chuck will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Dick and Sondra Fandel; siblings, Debbie (Brad) Jackson, Patti (Bill) Brady, Paul (Michele) Fandel, Andy (Michal) Fandel, Mike (Kathy) Fandel and Bill (Antonia) Fandel; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews and cousins, and significant other, Patti Strong. Chuck is predeceased by his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6284 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, IL 61109. Share online memories and condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com
