Charles Paul Flyinghawk, 73, of Glyndon, MN journeyed to the spirit world on February 14, 2026, in his home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Pastor Milton Owen and John Cloud III officiating. Pallbearers will be Dan Flyinghawk, Josh "Buttz" LaCroix, Nate Tweten, Pat Strand, Wilmer Flyinghawk Jr., Jacob Tuttle, Justyce Torrez, and Jose Sagaste. Honorary Pallbearers will be Herbie Knutson, Rick Thomas, Ron and Thelma Thomas, Stuart Redwing, Rod Tuttle, Ardene DeCory, Ariella Denney, Phillip Johnson, Sr., Floetta Johnson, Rosalina Johnson and all of Dakota 38 Horse riders. Interment will be in the Mayasan Cemetery, Claire City, South Dakota. There will be an all-night Wake Service on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the SWTCC Agency Village, SD. The Cahill funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Charles was born to Ida (Wolfe) and Charles Flyinghawk on June 14, 1952, in Winnebago, NE. He received his GED in 1970 and move to Indiana to join the workforce. A couple years later he moved to Minnesota where he married Goldie LaCroix in 1974 and had their son Daniel Flyinghawk and raised his stepdaughter Shaylene Greywind as his own. They had six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Charles recently retired from Case IH after 43 years. After retirement Charles helped out as a ranch hand here and there because he loved to ride horses and attended rodeos. Every year at Christmas he traveled back home to Santee, NE to ride in the Dakota 38 + 2 horse ride. He loved to watch football and loved to laugh and joke around w/friends and family.

Charles is survived by his wife Goldie Flyinghawk of Glyndon, MN; his son Daniel Flyinghawk of Glyndon, MN; one daughter Shaylene; nieces Lee Ann (Will) Payer, Carol (Jose) Sagaste; nephews Lance and Wilmer Flyinghawk of Santee, Ne,

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Charles; his sibling Curtis, Carol, Wilmer Flyinghawk Sr.; his grandson Robbie Garcia.

He will be missed by many.
