Charles Frye Obituary

He was born December 7, 1955 in Washington, Indiana to the late Harold K. and Patricia R. (Craney) Frye.
Chuck loved playing music, singing, and entertaining family and friends or anyone who would listen. He played in several bands over the years, but two of his favorites were the Whitfield City Limits and Shattered Images. Chuck was the master of fun, the funcle (fun uncle) and an excellent storyteller. He loved his family fiercely, especially his grandchildren. Chuck was a former member of St. Martin Catholic Church and a current a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He also served in the Army Reserve for many years. Chuck retired from Bonnie Leasing after many years of adventures.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Infant Frye.
Chuck is survived by his children, Cassie James (Jason) Rush of Indianapolis, Ethan (Emma) Frye of Loogootee and Dylan Frye of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, William Liam Frye and Mya Frye; siblings, Kenny (Susan) Frye of Loogootee, Ron (Sherri) Frye of Loogootee, Sherry (Jeff) Green of Indianapolis, Patty Ryan of Camby and Jason Bubba Dana) Frye of Bicknell; and many more friends and relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2022 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be the Martin County Humane Society or St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry.

We too were groupies of Chuck and rope,spent many nights hanging out in their basement and watched them play at the bar in loogootee. Had camping weekend trips with them and alot of other friends. That camping trip will always be remembered. Those 2 guys were so very nice and such a great time and memories with them will always be in our mind. Prayers to his family and Rope saw this and went down memory lane immediately.Thanks for the great memories Chuck and Rope, the jasper gals.

Terribly sorry to hear this. I met this kind and funny guy over 30 + years ago. Used to go to the bar in Loogootee and listen to him and his brother Rope. My sister and I were kinda like groupies if you can believe that! The practices in their basement were so much fun. We kept in touch for awhile. All great memories. Every time I've gone past that house the past 30 + years I said aloud "Whitfield City Limits!" Honestly just great fun...RIP Chuck! Thanks for the great memories! Take care Rope...
