Charles "Chuck" M. Geiger, 86, of Daytona Beach, Florida, entered Heaven on September 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharee, in 2015.
Chuck was born on August 2, 1939 in Salina, Kansas, to the late George and Lena (Yost) Geiger. He graduated from Salina High School in 1957 and pursued higher education with passion and dedication. He studied City and Regional Economic Development Planning at Kansas State University, earning a Master's degree, and also completed studies in Public Administration, Political Science, and Engineering/Architecture, graduating in 1967. Chuck met Sharee on a blind date in Kansas, and just two months later, they were married on September 26, 1962. Chuck began his career in 1969 at the Tampa Bay Regional Council's planning department. In 1972, he moved to Daytona Beach, where he worked as a Planner at Russell and Axon for approximately eight years. He continued his public service at South Daytona City Hall for about a decade and later at Daytona Beach City Hall as a Plans Examiner, retiring after a distinguished career.
Chuck was a man of many passions. He loved raising his daughter, caring for pets, painting, paintball, riding his Harley, target shooting, hunting, fishing, fireworks, dancing, swimming, and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbe, and her husband Patrick Mohn of Ormond Beach; his brother, Larry Geiger and wife Sue of Salina, Kansas; nephews, G.R. Nisbeth (Lori), Dwayne Nisbeth (Erin), Tracy Williamson (Angel); and nieces, Carol Sue Horting, Barb Lowe (Doug), and Jennifer Claypool (Scott). He was preceded in death by his nephew Mike, and is remembered by Mike's children, Amy and Tiffany.
Chuck will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, deep love for family, and the legacy of service and creativity he leaves behind.
